Beef Liver & Cheese Treat Recipe

This recipe was too much for one puppy to finish, so we had to freeze a number of treats. Also, after making this I went for a run and swear I sweat pure beef liver (GROSS). Do not attempt this recipe if you do not like the smell of beef liver as it lingers. When looking up beef liver recipes I also noticed the discussions around their dogs behaviour while it was cooking and I can confirm they go a bit nutty. Waylon waits by the oven until it comes out. I cut a tiny piece to dry quickly for his official taste test.
1 cup beef liver
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg
1/2 cup whole wheat flour (or ground oats) Add more if consistency is too sloppy*
Preheat oven to 350
Combine ingredients in food processor or blender and add flour/oats as needed.
Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Spread batter onto Baking Pan to desired thickness with spatula or into silicone molds (available on amazon)
Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes
Cut into cubes then let cool (I use a pizza cutter)
Store for up to 1 week in the fridge or in the freezer for a prolonged period.

*You want a consistency that you can pour onto the baking pan comfortably without it splashing everywhere. A horribly description of consistency would be like white glue (if that makes sense).
